This traditional Varaždin manifestation is the largest annual event related to hunting and fishing in Croatia, but also in this part of Europe. About 100 exhibitors from Croatia, as well as other countries (Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania) are present on almost 2,000 m2 of arranged exhibition space.
The exhibition program is primarily equipment for hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. In addition to the above, entities from tourism and family farms and food and beverage producers are also represented.
Along to the the exhibition, the Fair also includes a rich entertainment and educational side program. Some of the contents for which there is great interest have become traditional, so every year you can see taxidermy diorama - the exhibition of the Hunters Museum of the Croatian Hunters Association and the, always interesting, exhibition of mushrooms prepared by the Smrčak Mushroom Society from Čakovec for the last few years. Taxidermy fish is prepared by the company Interland from Varaždin. Hunting dogs always capture the attention of visitors, as do birds of prey, which have already become the trademark of this Fair. In addition to the aforementioned, culinary presentations and kettle cooking competitions are also indispensable, and the fair is accompanied by professional lectures as well as dislocated contents such as the hunting cup that takes place in Ljubeščica.
In addition to the exhibition space in the hall, the Fair takes place in the catering tent next to the hall. There, everyone who likes to eat and drink well can find something for themselves, from hunter's stew to grilled trout and various specialties, while the music program always contributes to the real atmosphere of the fair.
The 26th International Nature, Hunting, Fishing, Tourism Fair will be held from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Arena Varaždin.
